The light coming in from the windows created shadows on the door leading into the garage. I took photos of the door and then used the b/w option in Picasa.
I still don't get it. Are you layering photos of the children's silhouettes over photos of the door? The wood grain looks so large/close up. And the "bubbles" of light...I'm totally confused.
Ali: I'm only taking pictures of the door itself. What you see is the kid's shadow on the door as well as the effect from the sun steaming through the trees in the backyard and then through the window, making the "bubbles" of light on the door.
So in addition to the b/w edit, I intentionally created more shadow using Picasa in order to accentuate the "bubbles" and to hide the ugly appearance of the door jam in the photo of me and Max.
So cool Keri! These silhouettes are precious. Is this a camera setting or photoshopping?
ReplyDeleteVery cool! How did you achieve this effect?

ReplyDeleteThis is great! How in the world did you get them to hold still long enough to snap the photos??!?!!

ReplyDeleteOh, and the wood grain you see is the awesomeness of still having doors made in the seventies. ;)
ReplyDeleteStef: The kids got a kick out of their own shadows...so that helped.:)
Okay, I get it now! :) Very creative, I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comments, ladies!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how you got yourself in a photo!
ReplyDeleteThat's so neat! Awesome....I love Mazzy's perky little nose.
